Road Trip to Tibet , DAY 5---Daocheng Yading(稻城亚丁)

Few years ago, I heard the name Daocheng Yading , it's so beautiful in Autumn ! I plan to travel at that time , choose between Vietnam and Daocheng Yading , at the end , I choose Vietnam, so Daocheng Yading keep in my travel list in these few years, today , finally I arrive here ! finish one more target !

From our hotel , walk to the park entrance just around 10 min., we wake up early today , and get ready our lunch , chocolate, dextrose, Oxygen cylinder . We have a long hiking on the high altitude hill today , must make sure safe !

Let's go !

From the entrance to the hiking track need to take the shuttle bus , around 1 hour, a long distance !

A temple on top there , if you thing you have enough energy , you can climb up . But our target is The Milk Lake and The Five Color Lake , so we just pass it !

Chonggu grasslands(冲古草甸), it should be more beautiful in Autumn, the grasses grow up , herd and herd cattle are enjoying their time here ! When I came was in Spring ,but I feel that still beautiful , at least , not so much tourist then I can pay more attention on the view !

This is a holy mountain for local people, name Yangmaiyong(央迈勇).

The road is not good to walk , we walk around 10 min. and need to take a rest ! That is more harder to hike at the high Altitude than the normal place .

We decide to have lunch first , next to the rubbish bin !

In front of us , have separate to two road , one is keep walk straight , the other one need to walk a long and high stairs , when we see that , we decide to go straight with no hesitate !

Stairs, Stairs , Stairs ......Keep walking , we can do it !

Finally , we arrive the Milk Lake . What a great view in front of us ! Although we are very tied ,but when we see this , all worth !

Cheers !!! For us arrive the top ! For us didn't drink any dextrose, didn't use the oxygen cylinder to arrive the top! Cheers these dextrose !!!

Road trip to Tibet, Day 2---The Guanyin Temple & Serta Larung Ngarik Nangten Lopling(观音寺和色达佛学院)

We arrived a very famous Guanyin Temple, most Tibetan believe the Guanyin always blessing them , so when you come in ,you will find many Tibetan pilgrimage here, They always keep silence and mutter the lection.

A long stair , it's hard to climb the stairs when you at the high altitude district.

White Pagoda, behind this beautiful name, actually , they are tombs.

Many stones writing the Tibetan, they are all blessing word.

We walk in the temple , and can't help ourselves to keep silence .
We sit down on the floor same as them, a Lama give us each one a hada(哈达）--a piece of silk used as a greeting gift among the Zang and Mongol nationalities.
We listen their lection, although we can't understand any more.
We look around the internal Temple, there is so solemn.

Do you see the monkeys ? They don't like the monkey in the zoo, they are so free.
We holding the food and they walk to us ! once they get the food, they run away fast!

Another amazing thing is our car stop by cattle, many cattle .

Serta Larung Ngarik Nangten Lopling, is the largest Lama School in China. Everywhere is red, houses are red, Lama are red, Temples are red.

If you want to come in ,just can walk or take the bus, you can't drive your own car inside ! we choose to take the bus to the top ,and then walk down.

Here the altitude is 4040 m, is the most high in these few days, someone already have altitude sickness, like headache.

Remind , if you don't want to have altitude sickness, you need to drink the Herba Rhodiolae(红景天) two weeks before , when you already in the high altitude district, drink it is useless. and don't do many sport, keep lazy , every day just eat and sleep ,like me , how sprightly in my whole trip ~

So beautiful when the lights turn on ~In order to take this video , I hold my hand for a long time under the coooooold weather ! When finish this video , my hand already freeze...

In the high altitude district, is very cold , and easy to sick , so our leader told us many times don't take shower tonight, easy to get a cold. But I can't help myself to take shower, if I don't take shower, I can't sleep , and fortunately , I am still very health ~

Road trip to Tibet, Day 1---the earthquake memory & first time taste buttered tea !

Finally , I start my road trip to Tibet , where I want to go many years ago . In my college period , many Chinese liked walking to Tibet or by bicycle ,even now , still can see some people cycling to Tibet .

You can see many flat like this in the whole trip ,it have five color , is a culture of Tibet , use for blessing.

I join a small group in this trip , include the leader ,just 5 people , is easy to get close with small group ,and we 5 in similar age. Another, 2 Inner Mongolia uncle follow our group , total 7 people.

The first stop is Wenchuan Middle School(汶川中学). In 2008 , there was a destoryed earthquake in Wenchuan, and this Middle school stop the time at that moment .
When we visit this ruins, we talk about our memory at that time , Peng said when the earthquake happened, they were still in classes , and when their teacher found the earthquake , she asked all the students stay in class. I was surprised and said "why ask you stay in class ?! when earthquake happened we should go to somewhere open field ,right ?!"
I just can said , before that earthquake , many Chinese have less earthquake knowledge, especially in villages.

Left there , we keep on the trip , a strong fog in front of us !

A village we take rest , this is one of their building , someone taking rest under stairs , their life are so peace !

We found a very old bridge , how dangerous it is !!! How they go through this bridge at the past time ?!

Most of their cars/trucks have many ornament , that's used to keep their safe.

Danba Village, a tribe who build the houses with a special style in mountains , when you drive enough high ,you can get a great view for the whole village.

The hotel we stay tonight , a full of ethnic flavor hotel , I like it !

And our dinner also with ethnic flavor ~

This is the buttered tea, a famous tea in Tibet , it have two taste , salty and sweet , this time we try the salty , it taste......I think I will like the sweet more .
